The School Curriculum is designed to:

North Point School Dhaka offers the following curriculum for kids:

    • Jolly Phonics Learning (Complete set – Jolly Phonics sound & actions, Jolly grammar, Jolly readers)

    In addition, North Point School has come up with most updated educational tools and toys that will help children become creative and dynamic in all aspects.

    For IGCSE, School will offer:

    The subject choice for the IGCSE examination starts from Class VIII.

Islamic Component

    • At the end of Year 3 and/or 4(depending on the child’s progress), our students will be able to recite the whole Qur’an (Khatmul Qur’an), InshaaAllaah.At the end of Year 7, our students who have joined the school from Year 1 will complete Arabic Grammar and will be able to understand more than half of the Qur’an in its original language, InshaaAllaah.

Islamic Curriculum

    • Value based learning is comprehensively supported by our Islamic Education. We use the Teach Your Child Islam At-Tawheed series in our curriculum.  Teaching of Islam is based on critical thinking techniques supported by Edexcel as well.North Point School’s Islamic Studies Curriculum is based on the teachings of the Ahlis Sunnah WalJamaa’ah.  The core subjects including At-Tawheed and Seerahare taught in English.  All secondary students sit for the Edexcel‘O’ Level Islamiyat in Year 10.

       

      In keeping pace with educational developments and trends, The Edexcel O Level Islamiyat curriculum places emphasis on broad and balanced study across a wide range of subject areas. The curriculum is structured for the students to attain both practical skills and theoretical knowledge of Islam.

       

      Edexcel O Level Islamiyat is accepted by universities and employers as proof of ability and understanding. Its syllabus encourages students to develop lifelong skills and knowledge, including an understanding of the importance of major beliefs of Islam and of the early history of Islamic community.

       

      Although North Point School is a full-fledged Tahfeez school, our Islamic curriculum includes Tahfeez where children memorize the whole Qur’an.

       

      Arabic is an important subject in North PointSchooland students who have developed a strong interest in learning Arabic are encouraged to sit for the Edexcel / IGCSE Arabic as First Language in Year 10.  This First Language syllabus develops learners’ ability to communicate Arabic clearly accurately and effectively.
